Xiaomi will be launching MI TV Stick in India on August 5, disclosed by a teaser on Twitter. A few months ago Xiaomi launched MI Box 4k in India and now it’s going to launch a more convenient Mi TV stick to compete globally. Unlike MI Box 4k, MI TV Stick is 92.4 mm long and weighs 30g only.
The Xiaomi Mi TV stick is a smaller but a powerful media streaming device which turns your TV into a smart TV you just have to plug into TV’s HDMI port and it will enable you to stream any content over wifi like Netflix, Hotstar, Amazon Prime, Youtube, Facebook and much more.
It will come with the company’s Patchwall UI with Android TV operating system. Users can control this by a remote that comes with buttons and voice commands connected by google assistant. The Chromecast cast feature of the MI TV Stick will allow the users to stream content by connecting their smartphones to TV.
In India, the Mi TV Stick will be priced closely to Rs 3000 and will be one of the most affordable devices to change a TV into a smart TV. The stick has 1GB RAM and 8GB storage which will help the users to easily download from the Google play store and runs on Android TV 9 and is capable of streaming full HD resolution videos.
