Nvidia just launched the next generation of GPUs “Ampere”. GeForce RTX 30 series is said to be the greatest ever generational leap for gaming Desktop GPUs in Nvidia’s history. Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070, GeForce RTX 3080, and GeForce RTX 3090 are based on Ampere architecture featuring Nvidia’s second-gen RTX ray-tracing cores, GDDR6X memory, and faster Artificial Intelligence processing. The new RTX 30 GPU Series delivers nearly twice the performance and power efficiency that of the GeForce RTX 20 series. Nvidia has also revealed three new software features for competitive gamers, streamers, and animators.

Nvidia will sell its own Founders Edition graphics cards, and partnering with Asus, Gigabyte, Zotac, MSI, Galax, Palit, PNY, EVGA, Gainward, and Innovision 3D for custom-designed cards with their own coolers and software enhancements.

Nvidia’s base model supports 1440p and 4K gaming on GeForce RTX 3070 which is claimed to be 60 percent faster on average than the GeForce RTX 2070. Making it faster than the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti with less than half the cost. It will come with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The sale starts on September 24.

“Ultimate Gaming GPU” aka GeForce RTX 3080 is twice as fast as the existing GeForce RTX 2080 with 10GB of 19Gbps GDDR6X RAM. Nvidia said buyers can expect 60fps consistently at 4K Resolution. The sale starts on September 17.

The Top model of GeForce RTX 30 series, GeForce RTX 3090 is said to deliver a smooth 60fps at 8K Resolution.

“Big Ferocious GPU” aka GeForce RTX 3090 features a triple-slot cooler with a new dual-axial airflow design that positions one fan on the front and another on the rear, making it 10x quieter with up to 30 degrees Celcius cooler than existing designs. With 24GB of GDDR6X RAM, it is 50 percent faster than the existing Titan RTX. 8K Resolution game visuals at 60fps for gamers, but the GeForce RTX 3090 is for AI developers and massive-scale content creators. The sale starts in October later this year.

Nvidia is introducing Reflex, allowing game devs to integrate a “Reflex Mode” into games optimizing and measuring PC latency helping gamers target and track opponents. Games like Apex Legends, CoD: Warzone, Fortnite, and Valorant are all set to support this feature.

Hardware OEMs including Asus, Acer, Alienware, and MSI will be launching a 360Hz G-Sync eSports monitors with built-in latency analyzers. Nvidia Broadcast comes with AI-powered noise reduction, background blurring or removal, and auto framing like features targeting the streamers segment.

Nvidia Omniverse Machinima will allow creators to use supported games and game assets to create animation sequences including physics and particle simulations. AI can also be used to create motion-capture characters with a webcam, and animate mouth shapes based on actual audio. Early access is opening soon.

You get a free digital copy of Watch Dogs: Legion and a one-year GeForce Now cloud gaming service subscription on buying the GeForce RTX 3070, GeForce RTX 3080, or GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card or pre-built PC’s with one of these installed.

Along with all of it, Nvidia also announced RTX ray tracing and AI-powered DLSS upsampling, and new Reflex latency reduction optimizations will now be supported in the Fortnite game. The new RTX Treasure Run creative mode map has been designed to highlight ray-traced reflections.
