Apple confirms today that its next-generation iPhone 12 series will be facing a delay in the launch. As mentioned by Luca Maestri Chief Financial Officer in an earning call with the investors that the supplies of iPhone 12 series are expected to arrive a few weeks later although the September is the month where new series is expected to be launched now the iPhone 12 series is expected to launch in mid-october.
“Last year we started selling new iPhones in late September, this year we expect supply to be available a few weeks later”, said Apple CFO Luca Maestri, during the earnings call.
The next-generation iPhone line up with 5G Support and various new level hardware changes will include iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max. While Apple will be hosting an event sometime in September and will then announce the availability of the iPhone 12 in the event.
Furthermore, September is the most likely month when apple put out its new iPhone but in 2017 this was the same case with iPhone X, it was made available to the customers in November also iPhone XR was announced in September but was put at sale in October.
Besides this Qualcomm hinted the delay in the iPhone 12 series this week. But it is assumed that this time the delay must be happening due to the COVID pandemic.
The members of the iPhone family including iPhone 12 which is 5.4 inch, the 6.1 inch iPhone Max 12, the 6.1 inch iPhone 12 Pro, and the 6.7 inch iPhone Pro Max. All of them will be powered by Apple A14 chipset and 5G support. The iPhone 12 series will maybe resemble iPhone 4 model as apple is replacing the rounded screen with the flat sides which were being observed in iPhone 4 along with that the Pro units will be having 6GB and storage starts at 128 GB. Equipped with 20W fast charging, Rear camera of 12MP+12MP+12MP. The iPhone will be available in three color options- Gold, sIlver, and space grey.
