Today, Flipkart has announced the launch of its hyperlocal service under which the products will be delivered in 90 minutes, this hyperlocal service is named as ‘Flipkart Quick’. Flipkart here focuses on improving its supply chain capabilities and sharpening its delivery time also usage of innovative and advanced technology will be used for mapping for early delivery included in Flipkart Quick.
The new offering by Flipkart includes more than 2000 products which will be delivered in 90 minutes or a 2-hour slot which can be chosen as per the consumer’s convenience. Consumers can avail the service by ordering the products varying in categories like grocery, dairy, meat, stationery items, and home accessories in the initial phase in Bengaluru including Whitefield, Panathur, HSR Layout, BTM Layout, Banashankari, KR Puram and Indiranagar and will expand its services in six cities in next few months.
Moreover, Consumers will have to make a minimum order of Rs 29. Consumers can place there order anytime and will get there order delivered between 6 am to midnight. This move by Flipkart is to gain more consumers as the online grocery delivery has gained a lot during this pandemic as to compete with the other grocery delivering apps in the market also this move will gather offline retailers who have majorly hit by the lockdown to get partnered with the E-commerce giant.
Flipkart Vice-President Sandeep Karwa mentioned that everything which the consumers expect their neighborhood departmental store to carry is all that we made live. Along with this, we’ve also announced the launch of our fruits and vegetables, and meats category we’ve created a storage space where we’ve enabled a lot of our sellers to store their inventory.
