Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition officially launched at Gamescom 2020 with 4K graphics, better audio, & new game modes, will be releasing on October 15, 2020. Back in 2018 & 2019 two installments of Definitive Versions from the iconic strategy trilogy were released with the third title will wrap up this series. The fourth installment, Age of Empires IV, was also announced at the Xbox X019 event last year.

Age of Empires III game was released back in 2005, But even today, it carries a Metascore of 81 percent and a User Score of 7.8 on Metacritic. Microsoft looks to cash in on the game’s cult appeal with Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition.

The upcoming title upgrades can be seen in the new reveal trailer. “Rebuilt for a new age,” Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition with a 4K Ultra-HD graphics and better audio to ensure a great experience. The in-game worlds and characters seem to be much sharper in the trailer, along with nice upgraded texture. The Definitive Edition will also feature a modernized UI with cross-play support for multiplayer battles.

Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition will be coming with new gameplay content like two completely new civilizations: the Incas and the Swedes along with two new game modes: Historical Battles and Art of War.

It is all set for release on October 15, the game will be available to play on Xbox and PC. Pre-order has already begun on Steam, for INR 529, and on the Microsoft Store, for INR 1,299. Also, the Age of Empires IV was also announced at the Xbox X019 event last year along with the gameplay trailer. No official release date has been announced for the title.
